The Christmas season is almost upon us, and here in Plano, TX we couldn’t be more excited to spend the holidays with friends, family, and loved ones! While Plano is already known for mixing its thriving corporate economy and its rich natural heritage, there are a few hidden holiday gems that you won’t want to miss if you’re passing through during Christmas!
1: Heritage Farmstead’s famous Lights on the Farm!
Prepare yourself to be dazzled by Heritage Farmstead’s famous Lights on the Farm! This historic museum pulls out all the stops (one million lights, to be specific!) to create an incredible display of holiday joy. Even better: you can walk through the museum, meet Santa Claus, eat smores and hot cocoa, and make memories you’ll never forget. This is a family tradition just waiting to be made!
2: Santa at Legacy East
Don your hats, grab the kids, and “jingle all the way” over to snag a professional photo with Santa at Legacy East! The little ones will delight in meeting jolly old Saint Nick in person, and you’ll be able to leave with a wonderful photo to hang right next to the stockings. (And the best part is, if you haven’t quite finished your holiday shopping, you have every store you could want right at your fingertips at Legacy East!)
3: Red Door Escape Room
When we say “Holiday fun,” you say “Red Door!” We’ve decked the halls with boughs of holly (and other holiday decorations), and our escapes are perfect for holiday work parties, family outings, first dates, and more! We’re also just a great break from the hustle and bustle of the shopping season. There are four incredible, immersive escapes for you to choose from: save the holiday season by finding the North Pole, travel to far away lands and retrieve an ancient artifact, help save an alien spaceship from certain doom, or find your inner warrior and locate a map hidden deep inside a magical dojo. We might not be able to guarantee a kiss under the mistletoe, but we CAN guarantee you’ll be making incredible memories with your loved ones, and that’s truly what the holidays are all about!
4: Menorah Lighting at Willow Bend Mall
For those who celebrate Chanukah, the Menorah Lighting at Willow Bend Mall is not to be missed. It promises to be a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and hear words from city leaders, have delicious latkes and donuts, be a part of a Chanukah graffiti canvas, and send prayers to those fighting abroad. Come be a part of this magical ceremony-you will undoubtedly walk away with a new friend or two and a renewed love for the season’s traditions.
